Tips for Using Flip Cameras to Create Real Estate Videos

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

Many of you might have owned flip videos for a while or may be thinking a flip camera is an affordable way to start filming your listings.  Flip cameras are easy to use and a great resource for any Real Estate Professional. Below are some tips to help you maximize your flip camera.

Tip 1: Make sure you speak closer to the Flip Video when you do the shooting if you are also recording your voice. Try to shoot in not very noisy surroundings. If you do, you will have to expect your own voice to be drowned out by the noisy background.

Tip 2: If you want to get a clear video of what you are shooting, try to shoot closer to the subject. You can use the Zoom function to zoom in for a better shot.

Tip 3: Hold the flip video steady when you shoot your video and try to avoid jerky movements.

Tip 4: When you shoot in the sunlight, make sure the light is on your back and do not face the lens to the sunlight. Having a lot of light is necessary while you are shooting, otherwise, your flip videos may look grainy and blurry.

Tip 5: Utilize a tripod or mono-pod whenever possible. You want to make sure your videos are steady. If you don’t have a tripod or mono-pod, you can set your flip camera on a flat surface or if you need to move around a room, make sure you hold your arms close to your chest to stabilize the flip camera.

Tip 6: Remember you can recharge your flip videos on your computer. If you travel very often with your flip videos, you can get a Flip Video Power Adapter and keep your flip video charge at all times.

Tip 7: You can use a Flip Video converter to convert to iPod, iPhone or iMovie etc. to put your flip videos on mobile players and you can also make easy flip video editing with some editing tools to edit your flip videos. Adding background music will always improve the quality of your video.
